Orphans are often the first to be denied education when extended families cannot afford to educate all the children of the household

In 2005 a growing Christian
congregation in Ekwendeni opened a primary
school to cater for their own children and
others from the local community who could not
afford to attend the government schools.
This work is seen as a most important part of helping the needy to be better equipped to provide for themselves and their families.
Today there are over 300 pupils at the school and numbers continue to grow.
