There is a real need for more substantial infrastructure. This wooden classroom block was replaced with a new block opened in January 2008.

Teachers are a school's greatest asset but without adequate resources it is difficult to find those who are properly qualified

Children

Orphans are often the first to be denied education when extended families cannot afford to educate all the children of the household
In 2005 a growing Christian congregation in Ekwendeni opened a primary school to cater for their own children and others from the local community who could not afford to attend the government schools.

This work is seen as a most important part of helping the needy to be better equipped to provide for themselves and their families.

Today there are over 300 pupils at the school and numbers continue to grow.
